This past Sunday Kajal and I attended a retirement party for our dear friend, Pattie, an Associate Vicar at the Old North Church. Pattie has been a precious friend and inspiration to Kajal and I and the celebration was beautiful. In the courtyards of the church people gathered to share their stories of this remarkable woman. Kajal was confused, was it another goodbye? I tried to explain that her friend would not be at the church any more but she'd still be in our lives. Kajal wrote about 10 pages in the reception book then took off to grab every last sugar flower she could find on the massive cake on display. A friend took these pictures... isn't she a cutie?
