Her first Christmas Tree!
Today we drove out to a farm in the country to purchase Kajal's first Christmas Tree! Of course, Kajal has no idea what Christmas is but she sensed our excitement and bundled up in her first snow suit ready to follow us anywhere. We drove out to the Smolak farm in North Andover, Massachusetts and let me tell you, the setting was idyllic. I couldn't have found a more beautiful or perfect New England setting for this precious outing. First order of business, visit the farm animals. Kajal was in heaven! There was snow everywhere and she kept screaming 'Snowball!' She learned the word from watching Dora the Explorer as you know and loves the big snowball on the show. She threw snow in the air, slid down a snow covered slide and gazed in total awe at the white spotted reindeer. The four horned goats made her gasp in horror and the llama's and cows made her giggle with joy. Could this child, bubbling over with uncontrollable laughter, be the same child we picked up at an orphanage just a few short weeks ago? It's amazing. Her transformation on a daily basis. She chased after her Grandmother laughing outragiously and kicking up snow. We picked a beautiful tree, ate donuts made fresh, drank milk and hot apple cider... the day couldn't have been more perfect. Well, until my little one got horribly car sick on the way home (I forget she's not used to the rhythm of the car). By the time we pulled in at home though and she realized the big tree on the top of the car was actually coming in doors she hooted with glee and ran up the stairs at full speed screaming, the tree, we have a tree!
Imagine when she sees it with the lights on?
